Sharp, stubborn, and endlessly curious, Nora sees the questions everyone else walks past. She's got a detective's eye, her grandmother's locket around her neck, and a habit of finding trouble — or letting trouble find her. If there's a thread to pull, Nora's already pulling it.
PIPER VOSS
Nora's best friend and partner in not-quite-crime. Piper's the one cracking jokes when things get tense, asking the question Nora's too polite to ask, and somehow always knowing where the good snacks are. Loyal to the end — even when "the end" means hiding in a hedge.
ADA HARGROVE
Quiet, kind, and caught between the family she was born into and the truth she can't ignore. Ada knows more about Maplecrest's secrets than she lets on — and trusting Nora might be the bravest thing she's ever done.
